What We Are and What We Are Not
We are a Weyr that encourages the existence of all weyr and hold ranks.
We are not a 'lets hand out pretty shiny kings and queens to anybody we like' weyr.
Nor a 'lets keep our queens and kings in admin possession' Weyr.
We are a wher Weyr.
We are a weyr that tries to stay true to color proportions.
We are not a pansy-threadfall weyr; there will be injuries.
We are a very active weyr!
We are not a 'lather, rinse, repeat' hatching and weyrling lesson Weyr.
Nor are we a Weyr who likes to see the same character types over and over. Originality is great!
We are not a sit-around-and-do-nothing-until-a-hatching Weyr.
We are a regular greenflight Weyr.
We are not an immortal weyr - everybody ages, even on Pern!
We are a Weyr that'll be sticking around for a while.
We are not a mary-sue and gary-stu weyr, thank you.
Most of all, We are a Semi-Canon Weyr.
So we think we're pretty awesome, hopefully awesome enough for your awesome standards.
What We Need
x. Greenriders! Gold star if you bring us one
x. Blueriders! (no females)
x. Weyrfolk and and Wherhandlers
x. Weyrbrats!
x. People to adopt our adoptables!
x. Stewards, Assitant Headwomen, Wingseconds (all the rank-y goodness)
Other Tidbits
When you join Alevynn, expect an immediate onslaught of our love and general psychosis. We adore our new members just like our old ones, and those of us that have been around for a while are very close knit, certainly not too close knit to drag you into our giant, fuzzy Alevynn blanket of love though. :>
Alevynn's History
Aleyvnn had been constructed about 50 Turns into the 9th Interval, as the majority of the population flocked to the South, not too far from the hold from which it was named. Of course, with so many people flocking to a new location there was no shortage of people to populate Weyr, as well as the two new holds. All was well, with many of the Threadscored dragonriders will into old age and living out the rest of their days in the magnificent wonders of the Southern Continent. Alevynn was on it's third Weyrpair when news of the large clutch reached their ears. Many shrugged it off, but the Weyrleaders were skeptical. Though dragon numbers were dwindling, and Thread was now but a threat for naughty children, the two knew that, for the most part, dragons did nothing without reason. Then there was news of another. The pair had begun plans to reinstate Threadfighting tactics to the Weyling's training, as well as the 'riders. Then a huge wall was built before them. Weyrwoman Heather's Gold Reveth failed to rise, even as other Golds seemed to Clutch more. And thus she fell from her spot to be replaced by Pethra and her Gold Vevrath, who had risen and just clutched 12 eggs.[/center]
