Marks will be rewarded once a RL month to each person who does their job. To be considered as 'doing' their job, the character in question must have at least one thread either dedicated to their job, or in which they are demonstrating their responsibilities. For example, a healer could post an open thread for anyone who is injured, or might join in a thread to help someone. Either of these would count as practicing their craft. Be aware, when the announcement for Marks goes up, you will need to be able to link the job for each character.
For Wherlings and Weyrlings, attending class and doing chores will count as doing their job.
