As stark and plain as the candidate himself is, his room is exactly what one would expect. His half of the area consists of extremely bare furnishings and very little in decoration, though there is a bit to distinguish his personality among the simplicity of it all. In the back corner, there is a small stand topped with a little mirror and his brush, as well as a few other basic toiletries arranged rather neatly. Beneath the stand, a washbowl sits on the floor, ready to be filled with warm water to clean his face with and shave. Beside the stand, with the headboard facing the back wall, his bed rests, a couple of furs upon the standard-issue couch. They are always perfectly and neatly stretched without a single wrinkle. Parallel to his bed, an extremely large table rests, covered with a dark blue cloth. In the corner nearest the wall sits a small collection of books on various subjects, a couple filled with riddles to test his mind. Across the back of the table are small oddities he has collected over the turns, a few mismatched treasures of metal trinkets and glass baubles in interesting designs. There is also a large journal and a few writing utensils lined in a row in the corner opposite the books, holding anything interesting he has seen or learned, as well as a few rough sketches of astral charts.
In the corner across from his stand, an old but sturdy chest sits, holding all of his clothing. Most of his shirts are very plain though they are of varying styles, but always in the colors of blue or white. His simple pants are all black, as are his boots. In the very bottom of the trunk are two gather outfits, neither adorned but tailored well and fit him nicely. To the side of his neatly-folded clothes are several belts which hold a special holster for his throwing knives stitched into the backs. There are four of the lethal daggers, two that fit into the holster and two that slip into either of his boots. Though Elric has not worn all of them since arriving at Cerulean, he does still carry a single knife in his right boot. Next to the chest is another table, bigger than his stand but much smaller than the large table he uses for writing and studying. Upon it rests two items from his days as an astronomer. One is a large globe of pern made with the finest workmanship, thin arcs of metal dancing around it and holding all of the planet’s nearby astral neighbors. Beside the globe, a small spyglass sits, a gift from his uncle. Upon his walls, several star-charts are neatly-tacked, and his floor is covered by several furs and pelts as he likes to walk barefooted when possible.
((Please note that is only his half of the room, since he is bunked with another boy in the barracks))
