Character:
Name: F’ren (Faleren)
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Mostly hetero but not against a little experimentation.
Occupation: Weyrling
Description: F’ren is slightly above average height. His skin would be pale if he didn’t spend so much time in the sun so he is normally very tan. His dark brown hair is slightly wavy and he keeps it fairly short. His eyes are light brown and are framed by eyelashes of a medium length. His eyebrows are finely formed, almost too formed, but F’ren would never admit that they are not natural. His nose is narrow and straight. He keeps his plump mouth moisturized all the time with a salve that is always in his pocket.
F’ren’s body is muscular and he is in a very good physical condition, he is both strong and agile and can win most people in a fight. His facial features combined with his muscular form make F’ren traditionally handsome and his smile can win any hold-girl over but he has to work for it more in the Weyr.
F’ren likes to have his clothes tight to show off his body properly. They also have to be fine and expensive looking with no holes or dirt on them. However, at any given opportunity F’ren will take his shirt off. Both to be more comfortable and because, well, he has nothing to hide and he loves it when people look.
Personality: The fact that a mirror is F‘ren‘s favorite object says a lot about F‘ren. He is beautiful and he knows it. Since he was small, people have been complementing his looks and as a result F’ren is very confident and his ego knows no bounds. Of course being so beautiful is work and F’ren is incredibly vain. He bathes as often as he can and he loves to tan on the beach. He hates pale skin so it's kind of a necessity. He absolutely hates to be dirty and will always try to avoid dirty work.
F‘ren is incredibly self centered. Most of his actions have a motive and he has made friends in the past with the sole purpose of using them to his gain. It has been like that since he was little and a small girl managed to accidentally impress a firelizard. F‘ren had never talked to her before but less than two days passed since she impressed the flit and F‘ren and her were best friends and F‘ren had unlimited access to her little blue. People never suspect that F‘ren‘s interest in them is anything but genuine because F‘ren is just that good an actor.
When not on the beach, F’ren can be found in the kitchen. The kitchen combines two of his loves: eating and gossiping. He charms all the current gossip out of the kitchen workers and tends to know everything about everybody in the Weyr. His longtime memory is very good although his short time memory can often fail him.
F‘ren is handsome, clever and a bronzerider. Therefore he is better than you. After impressing Eneth and regaining his confidence, he is cockier than ever before. He doesn‘t mean to think less of lower ranking people, he really doesn‘t, but he can‘t help but look down on them. He normally manages to hide it and it‘s just as good because most of his friends are much lower ranked than he is. And he likes them. Very much. But he never forgets that he is better than them.
Growing up in a Weyr has made F’ren have a very relaxed view of sex. Although he is young, he has already made a number of conquests but it’s just sex to him. He loves the sexual freedom of the Weyr and can’t imagine ever being tied down to one person. He is careful to distance himself when he feels things are getting too serious. He has never done anything with a boy but would very much like too so he can know what it’s like. He also can’t wait for Eneth to mature enough to take part in mating flights.
F’ren is very ambitious and dreams of being Weyrleader. His appearance fools many who think he’s just an arrogant airhead but F’ren is actually very smart and perspective. The only problem is that F’ren is too often controlled by the head ‘down there’ instead of the smart head. He’s also still so young that he’s quite the hothead and can often get into trouble.
History: Faleren was born in Southern Weyr. He, as so many others, was a result of a greenflight and his father who was a bronze rider was never very involved with him. His mother sometimes spent time with him but F’ren was fostered by a bubbly cook who had never been able to have children and spoiled Faleren a lot. He loved his foster mother and was never bitter toward his parents. This was just the way things were in Weyrs.
He had a fairly uneventful childhood but he was happy with his life. Everybody loved him and he loved them. In order to have something to do, Faleren learned weaving from one of the old women in the Weyr and he quickly discovered that he had a knack for it. When he was twelve he stood in his first hatching. No dragon paid him a second glance and before he knew it, the hatching was over and Faleren had no dragon. Faleren’s confidence took a severe blow but he recovered soon after, confident in his ability to impress in another hatching. Another hatching came and went, and another but still F’ren had no dragon. After four years of unsuccessful hatchings Faleren’s confidence was at last shattered. It hurt to see most of his childhood friends with their bonded dragons when Faleren had none and when a new Weyr was formed Faleren relished the chance of a fresh start.
However any hopes of things being different in Silver Cove were quickly dashed as the young dragons at Silver Cove passed him by at hatchings. Faleren resigned himself to service the weyrfolk by making them clothes for the rest of his life.
Then disaster struck and Faleren’s troubles seemed petty in comparison. People were falling ill and too many dragons went between. Faleren didn’t fall ill but the happenings affected him deeply. He lost some of his best friends and his home was being destroyed. When the Weyrwoman fell ill and died all hope seemed lost. Faleren elected to follow the Weyrleader to the new Weyr.
In Cerulean he decided to try for the last time to impress a dragon. At the hatching Faleren watched dragons bond with their new riders and it seemed like this hatching would disappoint like all the others. Faleren had given up all hope when he was suddenly thrown to the ground. Blinking and trying to stand up he saw a flash of bronze before a big bronze head nudged his stomach. Are you all right F'renMine? Did Eneth hurt you?
F’ren shook his head. No I’m fine Eneth! I’m fine! He stood up and hugged his dragon. He felt so complete, like Eneth had filled a void that had always been there. That is good. Now can I get something to eat?
F’ren gained confidence again after finally getting a dragon, and a bronze one at that, and is now back to his old self. An egotistical bronze rider. Now that’s something we haven’t heard before
Fun Facts:
– Loves making people blush.
- Enjoys physical contact and will often spontaneously hug people that he doesn‘t necessarily know that well. Also likes to stroke people‘s backs and pat them on the shoulder. He likes to play with the hair of people he knows well.
- Nervous around people he thinks are weird. Like people who have imaginary firelizards.
- Thinks fish are disgusting. Both in the sea and on a plate. If F'ren is unprepared and a fish brushes against him, there is a slight possibility that he will squeel like a girl.
- Genuinely loves children. He doesn't want to have kids (at least not yet) but loves playing with them. He never has to plaster a fake smile on his face around kids.
Bonded Critter(s):
Type: Dragon
Name: Eneth
Color: Bronze (DF4807)
Age: 20 Months
Telekinetic Rating: 70
Bonuses/Minuses: (Base Roll 77) + (Bronze -7)
Specialization: Concentration
Breakdown:
Strength: 20
Precision: 40 (30 + 10)
Endurance: 10
Concentration: 10
Description: Eneth's whole body is very average. Nearly every single part of his body is medium sized. The exception is his wings. They're huge and would fit on a much larger dragon. When he was younger Eneth had a lot of trouble learning to fly because of his difficulties with controlling them. But he has gotten the hang of flying now, mostly at least. While Eneth is full grown now, he still hasn't lost all the awkwardness associated with young dragons. When he'll be a seasoned dragon Eneth will probably be a very good flyer.
There's one thing that Eneth lacks, and that's stamina. He has difficulties lasting as long as other bronzes while flying, and only Eneth's shear determination to be inferior to no one keeps him in the air. Eneth’s hide is a very light bronze color and can be very shiny, especially when he’s in the sun. The coloring is fairly even all over but his stomach is slightly darker.
Personality:Eneth is really like a dragon version of F’ren. Confident in his own ability, Eneth never hesitates to try something new. He is also very helpful and always tries to help his clutchmates anyway he can. He, like his rider, can’t wait to have matured enough to participate in a flight. But Eneth doesn’t see as much appeal in Queens as his fellow bronzes. Eneth prefers the nimble and beautiful greens. Of course he will fly a Queen if the opportunity rises but for now Eneth is comfortable surveying greens.
He’s very chatty and will seek a conversation with all dragons he meets. He especially likes to talk to greens so that they will like him better and give him a better chance at catching them in the future.
It’s hard to make Eneth excited, he reacts to most things in a calm and thoughtful way. But when he is excited he goes all out, often annoying older dragons. Eneth longs to be old enough to fight thread and finally get some excitement.
Fun Facts: Eneth hates firelizards with a passion. He thinks they’re annoying and there’s no real use for them.

Type: Firelizard
Name: Patch
Color: Blue
Age: Newborn - Mid-Winter
Description: Much like the egg he hatched from, this blue is covered in light and dark patches, making him look almost like he was sewn together from a few different blues. Instead of being macabre, it makes him look more like someone’s favorite stuffed animal that’s been patched a few too many times over the turns. He’s slightly small for a blue, but with long, whippy limbs and wings that give him nigh-unmatched agility both crawling and flying. His limbs are abnormally flexible, and he has a tendency to roll himself into a little ball covered with his wings. When he’s still small, he’ll easily fit into a pocket or a lowered hood that way; once he grows to his full size, his bonded should beware of him curling up in an oft-used carry-sack or flight-bag to take a nap (as that way he’s almost certain to get taken along wherever).
The best word to describe this little sweetheart is ‘adorable.’ From his long tail that he tends to curl around himself and fiddle with with his front paws, to his over-long wings that he’ll half-hide behind, to his angular little muzzle that he generally keeps shyly lowered. His little claws are tiny, but razor-sharp, and can be used in defense of His if needs be.
Personality:This little darling of a blue is sweet beyond compare. He also tends toward the shyer side of the fire-lizard spectrum. He will spend a good deal of his time cuddled up to His (or eventually His’s other bonded if he can), as he will get lonely if left alone. Due to his dislike of being alone, he might often wriggle his way into something that he knows His will take with him so that he can sneakily tag along.
He will hide from most other beings, often scampering behind His’s shoulder or even into his bonded’s shirt and cutely peeking out at whoever he’s being introduced to. Once he becomes familiar with someone, he’s a loving little thing. He loves to snuggle, and nothing will make him happier than being curled up with someone he adores. This little blue likes to show his adoration in another way as well: giving gifts. Be it bits of food or a few flowers he snagged from somewhere nearby, he will usually leave the gifts where he knows the intended recipient will find them. He’s often too bashful to give the gift outright, but he will sometimes – and if a fire-lizard could blush, he would while doing so.
He has the slight little nervous habit of sitting on his haunches playing with the tip of his tail with his forepaws. He does have an affinity for things that are soft or fluffy, and will steal as much pillow-space as His will allow (and if His were to have any sort of plush toy, he would instantly adopt it and curl up around it). He likes to be useful and tries hard to remember anything he’s told. While not as intelligent as some of the larger colors of his species, he is very easily trainable for most things…that don’t require him to be in contact with beings he doesn’t know. Due to his love of usefulness, he will throw his all into whatever task he’s given – whether it’s fetching an item, walking over His’s back to knead out all the kinks, or scratching every itchy spot on a dragon’s hide until he’s exhausted.
There is an alternate side to this blue, but it is one that will very scarcely be seen. Despite his timid nature and tiny size, he is fiercely protective of his bonded and those that His holds dear. Should anyone ever attempt to harm one of those beings, they will need to truly fear for their lives. Quick and agile with terrifyingly sharp claws, he will go for the most vital areas of his victim or victims. His small stature makes him easily overlooked, and that just makes it easier to sneak up on any would-be attackers and angle himself to get just the right spot. Luckily, he will rely mainly on his bonded for any queues to tell him that the person or people actually register as a threat (unless it is incredibly obvious), so he won’t go flying off the handle over a misunderstanding.
