Who: L'cin, M'ma, and anyone who wants to interrupt!
What: L'cin is a bit...worried.
When: Evening.
Where: M'ma's weyr.
Warnings: Very likely talk of sex. XD
If they weren't mindmates, L'cin was pretty sure Queth would be on his last nerve with him. He was freaking out over something that was still a couple months away, and was likely not really worth the stress. He knew this, but that didn't stop him from breaking out in a cold sweat every time he thought about it.
He couldn't really talk to S'ren about it, as she wouldn't have the answers he needed. She'd just say that he needed to 'prepare' himself for it. ...Which was part of what freaked him out more. ...And it was all her fault anyway that he was worrying since she just had to go and make a joke about it.
Queth had suggested speaking to a Healer, especially since that one lady Healer thought kindly of them and had a fire-lizard of her own. But she was female and not related. It would be awkward. Even if she acted like a Healer and was clinical about it...it would still be awkward. So that was definitely out.
There had been times in the past that L'cin had wished his mum was there, even if it was just to rant out loud to her about whatever was bothering him. This was another one of those times. She always gave the best advice and knew just how to make him calm down. ...But she wasn't here. And a letter would probably take too long. Brillia was smart, but she was still young and had never been to the North, so he wasn't about to have her carry it either. Plus, a letter probably wouldn't suffice either.
About ready to pull his hair out for umpteenth time that sevenday, he bypassed his bed and paced over to Queth's couch to flop on his dragon's side (much to Queth's rumbling amusement). He was warm and comfy and alive and ten million times better than any bed. Really, the only reason L'cin didn't sleep there instead was so he wouldn't get crushed if his lovely decided to roll over in the night. And S'ren would tease him. Brillia winged over and settled in front of his face, eyes whirling a pale yellow in worry. Why was her twoleglove upset? Could she make it better? Only Herbigwingbrownlove loved Hers as much as she did, so she should be able to make it better, right? She crooned at him lovingly, nuzzling along his cheek.
L'cin smiled and pet her in a comforting fashion. "It's alright, sweetling. I'm just worried about your first Flight." He smiled wearily at the beautiful little treasure before him. Even with the stress, he'd never give her up.
She couldn't understand all of what he said to her, but she though she knew what he meant. His worry was...about something...about her...and growing up?...a question! Oh, well, if he had questions, he should ask the nice bigwing-bonded who answered questions! He answered lots of them about Queth already. She happily sent Hers an image of the Weyrling Master with an accompanying chirp, as if to say, 'Of course, silly!'
Blinking at the unexpected response, L'cin had to bury his head against Queth's side as he laughed. Of course! M'ma was...well, he was kind of motherly, right? He'd always kind of given L'cin that impression, at least. And it was his job to help struggling Weyrlings. Even if this wasn't exactly a Weyrling question per se, but he'd seen M'ma's little blue around so it was likely he could answer L'cin's questions anyway.
...Of course, it still took another half a candlemark to finally get to the Weyrling Master's weyr door. There had been quite a bit of backtracking and direction changes and standing around dithering in that time. Taking a deep breath, he finally forced himself to knock so that there would be no going back. "Um...S-sir?"
