I kissed the stars as they slipped through my hands, their molten faces the ashes of a world reborn. Loosing the spirits of children to the cold, I glanced to my eternal lover; a whispering darkness holding me close. Within the boughs of a forgotten willow, sprites sang a final melody, as flippant, glimmering hopes caressed the air, before falling to shreds on the barren ground.
Walking amid the dying screams of chaos, oceans swelled at my feet, washing bare the pains of time, and laying smooth the path I'd tread thus far. Spinning into the maelstrom surrounding my soul, I let windfall lash my skin, red welts dripping into the aeons of race.
Eternal roses sprang from the breast of a child lost, while the fey bowed low, and thunder crashed helplessly. As the winds surcease lowered me down, I felt the eyes flutter against skin, losing myself in the warmth. Earth roiled within the gaze, gold flecks of a world like mine, and unlike any other, with it's own stars dancing and dying.
As the welts closed under a gentle grasp, I let the earth slide from my feet, the ocean fall away. Opening my own eyes, I watched the stars of another, and lay dying.
