((Been meaning to post this and kept forgetting. >.< You don't have to respond, but know it happened~! ♥))
A certain brownrider will have made certain that, while K'vin was otherwise occupied elsewhere in the Weyr, he slipped into his barracks and left a small, simply-wrapped package on his bed. The note with the package simple reads "Happy Birthing Day!" in surprisingly elegant, curly script, and is otherwise unsigned.
Within the package are a set of flight goggles. The glass lenses are thick enough to withstand the full speeds of wind one will experience adragonback, and sturdy enough that they could probably be dropped a couple dozen feet and not break. Despite their thickness, they are crystal clear to see through. A band of durable, dark-grey metal surrounds each lens, and provides the connection to the soft, sturdy leather fastenings. The leather itself is dyed a vaguely familiar dark reddish-brown in color with dark, chocolate-colored thread for the joining stitches. There are two words neatly (though a little inexpertly) stitched into both sides of the straps in an aqua-green shade that noticeably matches Asileth's hide. On the left is stitched "K'vin" and on the right is stitched "Asileth" - both in the same curly script as is on the note. The buckles are made of sturdy steel, and they should fit at about the third from smallest setting (of eight).
L'cin won't peep a word about it unless specifically asked, but certain people might notice a strikingly similar set (minus green thread) having joined his own attire. ♥
