The year is 3010, and the threat of the Red Star has been eradicated for nearly 500 years. The Pernese have since progressed their technology and drastically restructured their civilization.

At the turn of the millennium, dragonriders of Southern Weyr have become the most feared and respected of all the Dragon Teams. And with their support, their home country of the United South has become the most powerful and influential authority on Pern.
Progress is only as good as the ones who wield its power...
However, dissent grows in Southern Weyr as the dragonriders are divided by their ideals. The Separatists led by former Weyrwoman Devi of Gold Zenith desire to be free of the United South's control; but the current Weyrleader R'mie of Bronze Luiseath, along with the young and inexperienced Riya of Silver Nevaeth as the new Weyrwoman, leads the Loyalists in faithfully serving their country.
Where power is found, greed is sure to follow...
As Southern Weyr lies divided between two powerful authorities, the once mighty Dragon Team of the United South threatens to fall apart as the Weyr turns on itself. But within the heart of the United South is a conspiracy that threatens the very existence of Pern, and the dragonriders cannot afford to be torn apart.
The future is unpredictable, and only the players can determine its path...
