((Yay! I've actually wanted to play with these two for a bit now! :D))
L'cin was, amazingly, on time for chores - and not because he rushed. Not that he ever liked being late - but Queth would so often keep him occupied until he had to run. And then there were the embarrassing situations like when he'd made Ranen - R'nen now - fall...
Well, that wasn't the case this time. Queth was finally getting a little less clingy so that he was fine with L'cin (physically) going off for a few candlemarks to do his duties. L'cin slightly wondered if it had anything to do with the fact that the brown was now getting too large to fit in most of the human tunnels and walkways. Another upside was that Queth more often allowed him to sequester them in his weyr in the evenings sometimes.
Smiling at the thought, he turned the corner into the kitchens. And then the smile was dimmed, because there were oh-so-many people in here. Thankfully most of them wouldn't try to talk to him, he guessed, but still...he always got more self-conscious than usual in crowds. It looked like F'ren was here already, too. He liked his fellow weyrling; he was always so pleasant. ...But he also liked making people blush, and the more prone you were the worse he was. And L'cin was very, very prone. It didn't help that L'cin was still rather confused on the whole sexuality thing and F'ren was not exactly hard on the eyes. This...this, could be a long day.
He shot F'ren a quick smile and a small wave as he went to get his orders from the cook. Apparently he'd be skinning and dressing some wherries. Ew, but fine. He'd had his hands in much worse feeding Queth.
Stepping over to the prep tables, he noticed another boy one table over, directly opposite him. He recognized him from their weyrling lessons as one of the new greenriders. He had seemed to be as prone to quiet as L'cin, though, and L'cin hadn't the courage to approach him before. He should probably introduce himself, but... But, well, when he looked his stomach did that stupid flippy-thing again and he just started to blush, quickly needing to avert his eyes back to his task.
Maybe he really was just being hidebound, and thick to boot. It really did seem that he might-maybe-possibly-mayhap-conceivably-perchance-could be attracted to men as well as women. Maybe. Another glance up at the other boy, and this time he managed to offer him a shy smile. He tried to stutter out a greeting, but ended up just biting his lip and blushing instead.

((Aaaaaand this is why it took forever to get done. I hope you like walls of text. <3))
"Healers like to think Weyr positions are prestigious because they require a vast amount of skill to get one. Then they realize it requires that skill because even vast amounts are not enough, and the work here is generally more demanding than anywhere else." She shrugged and sighed. "Which you, thankfully, already know before coming to us." She smiled at the other woman, hoping to convey how very happy she was to have another Healer on board who wouldn't run off as soon as she found out how hard it would be.
Nodding for Batavia to turn with her around another corner as they spoke, they soon came to the infirmary doors. Opening one, she gestured for Batavia to precede her in. "Ah, alright then. I might have need of someone to help me with medications and holding down recalcitrant patients, though, so I might still call on you. I always seem to only have the willowy apprentices around when one of the guys that makes me feel like a fire-lizard next to a dragon gets injured." Eyes crinkling in amusement, she chuckled at the memories associated with that. "And dragons are definitely better than herdbeasts. Unless you're hungry." A wicked smirk stretched across her features, and then she turned and walked toward her office-quarters hoping the other would follow.
"Nah, it's alright. We'll have you on shifts soon enough. S'lain and I can re-work the schedules tonight after I see what your schedule will be from the Candidate Master." Taking a piece of paper she began a rough sketch of the Weyr. After a moment, satisfied with her rendition, she waved Batavia over to look at it. "Right, so, here are the central stairs that'll get you to pretty much any level. Candidate Barracks are up top, right there, and you can see the arena for the Sands from there. The Hall is here, and for non-mealtimes to grab a bite the kitchens are here." She went on to point out the important areas, scribbling little labels as she did. Her quarters, S'lain's quarters, the other Healer barracks, Weyrleaders' weyrs, and the weyrs of the current Candidate and Weyrling Masters. "A lot of Weyrs don't have access by foot to the Rider weyrs, but we've got a small tunnel that runs along the back of them. It helps to get to a dragon or rider if they're ill and can't be moved so that we don't have to ask assistance from another Rider to get us and our equipment there. I'll get you a set of keys to the tunnel doors once you settle in." Looking over the map once more, she nodded. That should be the important stuff.
"For now, just get settled in. The Candidate Master will want to know you're here, too. I'd go to him so he can assign you a space in the barracks. Have some fun exploring before you have to snap back to a schedule." She grinned in sympathy. ...Oh, some people enjoyed the blasted sun, didn't they. "Er, and the beach is quite nice too. If you trek a little away from the Weyr-proper there's a bit less bustle and a bit more quiet, and plenty of shady plants and cave alcoves along the edge of the beach. Just be careful, though, as there are wild animals about. You might want to leave that for another day when you can go with a friend."
Rolling up the little map, she handed it to Batavia. "Most of the stuff in the infirmary is arranged like every other infirmary. You'll get a mini-tour when first you work." Out of the corner of her eye, she spied her mischievous flitter trying to drop a couple tiny flowers on Batavia's hair and grinned. "My flit Jaser - who apparently thinks you need decoration - will bring you your schedule tonight." She glared pointedly at the little miscreant, and he chirped in his utter and complete innocence back at her as he lit upon her shoulder for a snuggle.

Who: L'cin, M'ma, and anyone who wants to interrupt! What: L'cin is a bit...worried. When: Evening. Where: M'ma's weyr. Warnings: Very likely talk of sex. XD
If they weren't mindmates, L'cin was pretty sure Queth would be on his last nerve with him. He was freaking out over something that was still a couple months away, and was likely not really worth the stress. He knew this, but that didn't stop him from breaking out in a cold sweat every time he thought about it.
He couldn't really talk to S'ren about it, as she wouldn't have the answers he needed. She'd just say that he needed to 'prepare' himself for it. ...Which was part of what freaked him out more. ...And it was all her fault anyway that he was worrying since she just had to go and make a joke about it.
Queth had suggested speaking to a Healer, especially since that one lady Healer thought kindly of them and had a fire-lizard of her own. But she was female and not related. It would be awkward. Even if she acted like a Healer and was clinical about it...it would still be awkward. So that was definitely out.
There had been times in the past that L'cin had wished his mum was there, even if it was just to rant out loud to her about whatever was bothering him. This was another one of those times. She always gave the best advice and knew just how to make him calm down. ...But she wasn't here. And a letter would probably take too long. Brillia was smart, but she was still young and had never been to the North, so he wasn't about to have her carry it either. Plus, a letter probably wouldn't suffice either.
About ready to pull his hair out for umpteenth time that sevenday, he bypassed his bed and paced over to Queth's couch to flop on his dragon's side (much to Queth's rumbling amusement). He was warm and comfy and alive and ten million times better than any bed. Really, the only reason L'cin didn't sleep there instead was so he wouldn't get crushed if his lovely decided to roll over in the night. And S'ren would tease him. Brillia winged over and settled in front of his face, eyes whirling a pale yellow in worry. Why was her twoleglove upset? Could she make it better? Only Herbigwingbrownlove loved Hers as much as she did, so she should be able to make it better, right? She crooned at him lovingly, nuzzling along his cheek.
L'cin smiled and pet her in a comforting fashion. "It's alright, sweetling. I'm just worried about your first Flight." He smiled wearily at the beautiful little treasure before him. Even with the stress, he'd never give her up.
She couldn't understand all of what he said to her, but she though she knew what he meant. His worry was...about something...about her...and growing up?...a question! Oh, well, if he had questions, he should ask the nice bigwing-bonded who answered questions! He answered lots of them about Queth already. She happily sent Hers an image of the Weyrling Master with an accompanying chirp, as if to say, 'Of course, silly!'
Blinking at the unexpected response, L'cin had to bury his head against Queth's side as he laughed. Of course! M'ma was...well, he was kind of motherly, right? He'd always kind of given L'cin that impression, at least. And it was his job to help struggling Weyrlings. Even if this wasn't exactly a Weyrling question per se, but he'd seen M'ma's little blue around so it was likely he could answer L'cin's questions anyway.
...Of course, it still took another half a candlemark to finally get to the Weyrling Master's weyr door. There had been quite a bit of backtracking and direction changes and standing around dithering in that time. Taking a deep breath, he finally forced himself to knock so that there would be no going back. "Um...S-sir?"

((Ohey, whatcha know, I needed to reply here again... Whoops.))
Tess quirked an eyebrow at the boy's admonishment toward a 'Polo.' Well, maybe the kid had a flitter. Who knew how many times she'd scolded a fleeing Jase out loud as well as mentally and probably looked like a madwoman? Most people who knew her knew exactly what she was going on about (and if they were a certain Weyrleader or Dragonhealer they would laugh at her), so she never really thought much on it.
She smiled kindly at the kid when he seemed to come to. "Hey there. You okay? I thought you fell, and you looked upset." Straightening only halfway from her crouch, she reached out her hands for Cheko's. "Let's get up and get the dust off us, yeah?"

The little spots of sun filtering down and dancing across his dark hide through the swaying leaves had been just perfect for sleeping. Now, they were almost faded completely, and the dark of the jungle was closing in. Blessed night, and all the secrets it held. Blinking his eyes open with a whirring delight, the blue scratched peels of bark off his chosen perch as he stretched all of his sleep-kinked muscles. And then there was the call. Excitement coursed through him. He had seen the glowing gold prowling - advertising that she would Run soon - when he had been stalking prey near the twolegs and bigwings' place. He had made sure to not stray far after that, content to pick off the meager prey in this area for the chance to Chase a queen. The darkness cast his midnight blue hide as inky black, and only the glint of his softly glowing eyes could be seen as he quietly sped his way through the treetops. He was not large, no, not like some of the browns and the bronzes. But he was fast. And he was quiet. And perhaps he wasn't quite as smart as the bonded-ones were, but he knew how to stalk. She would choose him - and oh, she would - for he would be upon her so unexpectedly that she would indeed be impressed by his skill. He was certain; he was sure. Without a sound, he crept to a perch just in sight of his queen - for oh, she would be his, yes - but centered along the route she would have to take to reach the deeper jungle. She bugled her challenge again, and a shiver of anticipation ran along his hide. The other males were of no importance. Soon, she would Run. And he would chase. .o0O0o. Tess was finally satisfied that the infirmary wouldn't explode if she left it for sleep, and gratefully headed back to her quarters to turn in early. Curling up with a book and a cuddly Jaser seemed like a perfect end to the evening. As if in response to her though, said flit popped out of air to land on her shoulder at full tilt. Stumbling and then laughing at the very normal antics, Tess reached up to scratch his hide and earned a pleased warble. Finally ready for bed with book in hand, Tess was just settling down when she heard the first bugle. She tilted her head for a moment to puzzle it out... It wasn't a dragon, as she didn't think S'lain's chart showed any were ready to Rise anyway... Not a flit- Oh! The new queen wher, of course! That should be interesting. She idly wondered if she'd finally get to see what wher eggs and hatchling whers looked like. Probably cute like most all babies, even if the adults weren't much to look at. Blinking for a moment, she finally realized that Jaser was making an attempt to wriggle out of her cuddle. Sighing with a tinge of a laugh, she rolled her eyes. "Oh, for the love of Faranth. Fine, go on then!" She released him and shook her head in amusement as he excitedly leapt off to between. She pouted at her book for a moment, then gave up and set it aside. He would probably spend the rest of the night getting 'consoled' by any number of the female flitters on the island when he inevitably 'lost' the Chase of the gold wher. She might as well be asleep and not have to deal with the backlash of that unfortunately familiar feeling. If it ended up waking her up anyway, she was sure she could probably find a friend willing to accomodate.

Sorry it took me so long. Since I've more an eye for detail, Rouxy asked me to be the nitpicker...right before I started moving. :P Anywho, there's a few things that need a little tweaking/fixing. And don't be intimidated by the wall of text! I promise I'm just overly wordy. :P 1. There are several things that clash with our history at Cerulean. Cerulean's only been around for about 8 months now in-game. Before that was Silver Cove Weyr, but that was only around for 2 turns prior. We're only about 7.5 turns into this Pass. - Being 16, he wouldn't have dreamed of being Cerulean's Weyrleader as a child. Maybe Southern's, or one of the northern Weyrs'? - Even if he grew up in Silver Cove Hold, Cerulean would not have been nearby during that time. You're welcome to keep him at that hold, but maybe changing it to Southern Hold and Southern Weyr would work better? - He would more likely have gotten Searched elsewhere initially, unless it was late in his 13th turn and he got Searched to Silver Cove Weyr right as it was opening. If he was Searched elsewhere, why did he come to Cerulean now? 2. If he likes blue best, why does he want a bronze? It just doesn't make a lot of sense without further explanation. 3. You say the two dragons that Searched him "flew in and made a sweep of the Hold." If it was for Thread, there would be many more than two; if it was on Search that would be fine - but you then mention they aren't on Search. 4. It's not all that surprising to find a Candidate even when they aren't typically on Search. Search is just when they go out with the intent to find them. I don't understand why the bluerider is as astonished as he is? 5. You forgot to switch another "Carew Weyr" to "Cerulean Weyr" at the end of the history. 6. Er...you put a Fun Fact in the Bonded Critter section instead of in the Character section. (You can actually just leave out the Bonded Critter part since he has none yet. :3 Same with the Craftskill section - you can just take it out if you like since he doesn't have one.) 7. The General Info part of the Rider Candidate section is meant for any preferences you have about your dragon. I don't understand why you listed his family? 8. The RP Search part of the Rider Candidate section is asking whether you want to play out the Search itself with any of our Searchriders. You would be better putting a "No." there instead of re-pasting part of the history. 9. We'd like a little info about how he felt about the tragedy at Silver Cove Weyr. If he was Searched there, he would have gone through it; if he had been elsewhere, he'd still have heard about it. You mentioned how he loved the dragons, so we're curious how it affected him. We like Beryn, and we'd love to have you come play! We just need a those little bits of clarification and explanation. :)

L'cin smiled up at Ranen - no, R'nen now. "Good morning to you as well." Poking the burrowed head lightly, he managed to get a squinting S'ren to lift her face enough to stare at him. "This is my sister, S'ren. ...I think I mentioned her in the infirmary at some point." Or several points.
"You b'tt'r have mentioned me," she grumbled, placing her chin on his shoulder to squint up at the newcomer. "Hiya. ...Hey, wait, you made a friend on your own?!" Though obviously not 100%, she still managed a modicum of a teasing grin as she poked L'cin in the ribs.
L'cin felt his face flush and looked at the incredibly interesting ground. And would have stayed that way, except he - being rather ticklish - let out a rather unmanly sound and squirmed, his face flaming redder in embarrassment. Clearing his throat, he managed to mumble out something that sounded vaguely like, "...chores...infirmary..." Sighing and running a hand through his hair, he introduced R'nen to his sister. He bit his lip and looked up at the other boy cautiously - partly due to his own embarrassment, and partly because he was oh-so-very sorry for inflicting his sister's attention on the poor guy.
With a miserable sigh, S'ren sat up a bit more as the stragglers made their way in. "Y'know...I should really get to know the others. ...Soon. ...When my stomach lining isn't interested in escaping anymore."
And then M'ma began the lesson. S'ren winced when he mentioned alcohol. She really hadn't meant to get knackered...she'd just wanted to celebrate with the others. When he mentioned no intercourse, her brow furrowed. She never recalled that one before. Wasn't it a good idea for them to get some experience before having to deal with Flightlust? Yes, some of them weren't sixteen yet, and thus not adults, and that could be bad, so on, so forth. And those with male dragons could simply go elsewhere during the chasing when they could actually fly. ...But those with greens would need to be prepared. You can't stop them from Rising, after all - nor did anyone have the right to.
Curious, she borrowed a move from L'cin and bit her lip as they led their dragonets off to be fed and bathed. She'd ask M'ma when he came over to check on them. Until then, she was somewhat glad that Feynth had enough balance that he didn't mind when she leaned on him just a bit.
