For everyone who's a wher candidate, this is what you should have learned during your lessons, or in general question if lessons weren't attended.
-Wher hatchings are not announced via humming. Usually the queen will announce a hatching with a loud call, which can then be passed on via dragon or flitter.
-When approaching the clutch, do not bring pets and approach with caution and respect to the queen and her handler. Gifts are not necessary, and may or may not be appreciated depending on the queen in question.
-Bow to the queen and request permission to approach. The queen may or may not choose people to step forward further, on the basis of her own personal judgment. This indicates approval of the queen but not necessarily whether or not a person may impress.
-If chosen, step forward as indicated. If not, remain respectful and quiet until the hatching is over, as leaving may anger the queen.
-When an impression is made, slice the palm of your hand to allow the wherling to sip from your blood, then feed the wherling the provided mix of herdbeast blood and oats to their content, as they will not overfeed themselves like a dragon hatchling will.
-Wherlings will need to sleep after hatching, and the nearby unoccupied hatching caverns are provided for such, with cots and small beds of straw. Handler apartments will be assigned after the hatchlings wake the next night.
